Product Terms

Terms for the Disco Parrot Windows application and hosted service, operated by Orcette Inc.

Effective October 19, 2026

Version 1.0 · Orcette Inc. Existing signed customer agreements continue to apply.

Scope and eligibility

These terms govern the Disco Parrot desktop application and hosted service supplied by Orcette Inc. A separate signed organization agreement or order form controls where it conflicts with these terms. You must be at least 18 and have authority to accept the applicable terms for yourself or your organization. Use only accounts, content and connected resources that you are authorized to access.

Desktop application license

Subject to these terms and applicable plan limits, Orcette Inc. grants you a non-exclusive license to install and use the desktop application for authorized personal or organizational product-development work. You may not misrepresent authorship, resell the service, bypass access controls or use the application unlawfully. Third-party components remain subject to their own licenses and notices, including rights those licenses grant independently of these terms. Consult CREDITS.html and the LICENSE/NOTICE files included with your installed version for third-party notices.

Account, connectivity and plans

The Windows application is free to download. An account and an internet connection are required for hosted service features. Available capabilities depend on your organization, permissions, plan and configured runtime/provider access. Some capabilities require payment or a separately configured third-party account. A sales request does not purchase a plan or activate access. Prices, billing periods, renewal, cancellation and refund terms must be disclosed in the applicable purchase flow or order before you pay; these terms do not create an undisclosed recurring charge.

Your content and AI output

You retain your rights in content you provide. You authorize Orcette Inc. and the service providers needed for your configuration to process that content to supply, protect and support the requested service. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, non-unique or subject to third-party rights. These terms do not grant rights that neither you nor Orcette Inc. has. Review generated code, advice and proposed actions before use; you remain responsible for deciding what to execute, publish or share.

Agents, permissions and third-party services

Workflows can invoke tools, modify authorized files, run commands and interact with repositories or browsers. Review permissions and the proposed work before allowing consequential actions. Your organization is responsible for the resources and permissions it supplies. Connected services have their own terms, limits and charges. Provider account and model terms can differ; no universal provider-training or retention promise is made by these terms.

Acceptable use and reporting

Follow the Content Guidelines. Do not use Disco Parrot for illegal activity, exploitation, threats, harassment, privacy violations, fraud, infringement, malware or unauthorized access. Report suspected misuse or harmful AI output to legal@discoparrot.com with a minimal content/session reference and explanation. Security vulnerabilities should go to security@discoparrot.com. Do not include passwords or provider keys.

Service changes and access

We may update the application or hosted features and restrict access needed to address abuse, security incidents, legal requirements or a material breach of the applicable agreement. Paid-plan commitments are governed by the applicable purchase terms or organization agreement. Export or preserve work you need before ending access. Uninstalling the desktop application does not itself cancel a paid service or delete hosted data; request account closure or cancellation through the applicable account or support channel.

Availability, responsibility and consumer rights

Unless an applicable organization agreement or mandatory law provides otherwise, the service and AI output are provided as available without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular task, accuracy or non-infringement. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

Microsoft Store and contact

Orcette Inc., rather than Microsoft, operates the hosted Disco Parrot service. Microsoft Store acquisition and account services are also subject to the applicable Microsoft terms. Contact legal@discoparrot.com about these terms or product support, privacy@discoparrot.com about privacy, and security@discoparrot.com about vulnerabilities. Changes will carry an updated version and effective date; applicable organization agreements remain in force.
